it suddenly all began making sense to me now, how gravity slows down time, i mean why. time and entropy are related — without time there is no entropy and without entropy there is no time. entropy is a statistical phenomenon. when gravity increases, it decreases the number of possible configurations the matter can rearrange itself into at random, which means diminishing of the speed of entropy, which manifests in slowing of time.
you could therefore say that time is also a statistical phenomenon. when there is no rearrangments of particles there is no change in time. the time is frozen so to say. this is why in black holes time has stopped, because there is no internal changes. also in near absolute zero there should be almost no time flowing, thus devices frozen at near absolute zero could be left in the past to exchange information with future generations through entangled particles.
the above conclusion brings me to the idea, that as in the absolute zero temperature time doesn’t exist, it is as well the case in the absolutely maximum possible temperature in the universe, where all the particles are torn apart into their constituents, and dissolved into maximum entropy, stopping time. thus slowing of time can be achieved both ways, by freezing and heating, while somewhere in the middle should be the highest speed of entropy. if that maximum rate entropy is measured or calculated that would give us the number of the maximum possible temperature in the universe, at which there is no more entropy and time stops. even this is possible that at this absolute maximum temperature everything collapses into absolute zero — because with maximum entropy there is no more movement and everything freezes — and the cycle will restart.
it is also a possibility that this borderline temperature can fluctuate both ways, randomly or due to virtual particles. in this possibility, when our universe disperses completely and cools to absolute zero, it can randomly create itself again by flipping into absolute maximum temperature and starting to cool down, collapsing into real particles in the process and so on. this possibility suggests that universe may have began from not an infinitely small point, but from infinitely large space — an area of absolute minimum possible temperature flipped to absolute maximum possible temperature with the same value of entropy, with all the consequences visible in our local space now, in our universe.
i have tried to clarify to myself in written articles countless times, over many years, that speeding up particles in heated materials should slow down their local time. higher temperature creates higher deceleration/acceleration speed of bouncing particles, thus creating the instances of greater local gravity in the particles. for outside observer the local time in heated materials increases.
without getting all the details of the process, it may seem like a contradiction, because the time in heated materials should slow down to the outside observer due to the increased gravitational effect of deceleration/acceleration, thus i must explain further. as you know heated materials won’t change their total mass — the gravitational effect only increases to the particles themselves, while the entire volume of heated material is millions of times larger. if the observing point is inside the mostly empty volume of the heated material, then time moves faster due to increased speed of entropy, while time slows down for the observing point of riding the bouncing particles, at the moment of bouncing. for the entire heated matter the slowing of time of particles is “borrowed” from the surrounding space – after all, particles are just increased instances of waves in the field. outside of the heated material time goes slower compared to the time inside the heated material. that effect we can observe in everyday life in cooking procedures (increased rate of entropy) and by refrigerating food for it to last longer (slowed rate of entropy).
the point i’m making here is that time is flowing at different rate not only due to difference in gravity on different celestial objects, but also the difference in temperature makes time to flow at different rate. that means we can manipulate time with way less energy than it is needed to accelerate/decelerate big objects for the required gravitational effect.
there is no need for a cosmic voyage with enormous acceleration/deceleration of a space ship, creating huge local gravity to slow down time and to come back to earth of a distant future. a time machine could in theory be created by manipulating temperature of objects, by maintaining structural integrity of the time traveling objects by decreasing their entropy. the entropy problem could be solved by sending the original structural information of the time traveling object to the distant future by entangled particles. upon arrival to the destination the signal could be sent to the past requesting the information of the original stucture which will be provided and the object will be rebuilt. that reparation procedure could be repeated at any point during the time travel, before the stucture desintegrates beyond reparation, while the energy needed will be provided from the temperature difference. way easier than with gravity.
